Galvanize Climate Solutions (“Galvanize”) is a climate-focused global investment firm delivering capital and expertise to accelerate climate solutions. Founded by Katie Hall and Tom Steyer, Galvanize invests across asset classes including venture capital and growth equity, public equities, and real estate. We integrate expertise across investment, climate impact, measurement, market development, talent, technology, and policy with the aim of driving material climate impact and creating long-term value for our investors. 

Role

The Galvanize Investment Associate is a full time position working directly with the Galvanize Investment Team. This opportunity will be of particular interest to an individual wanting to expand their knowledge of climate focused investments and the operations of a growing and new investment platform. Responsibilities of the Galvanize Investment Associate will revolve around three primary types of work:

• New Investments – The Galvanize Investment Associate will work with the Galvanize Investment Team to help source and evaluate investment opportunities, research industry dynamics, and analyze complex data sets. 
• Portfolio Management – The Galvanize Investment Associate will work with the leadership of the Galvanize Investment Team to help manage portfolio company reporting, oversight, and operations. The Associate will also have occasional opportunities to work directly with portfolio companies to help implement industry best practices in a variety of areas (examples include organizational structure, employee compensation, financial reporting, sales execution, and product road mapping).
• Fund Administration – The Galvanize Investment Associate will assist with reporting, valuation modeling, data collection, and help with external events such as industry summits. 

Attributes and Strengths:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience. 
• Relevant experience with investing, clean energy, climate advocacy, management consulting, or an investment bank.

• Authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship. 

The Galvanize Investment Associate will report to and work closely with the Galvanize Investment Team. This is a salaried position working out of our San Francisco office.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary pay band is $125,000 - $150,000. Note that salary pay bands reflect a wide range of experience levels and are used for both internal incumbents and new hires.
• Total cash compensation will also include an annual discretionary bonus
