We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals starting their career in IT infrastructure. You will work closely with experienced team members, receiving hands-on training while supporting the maintenance and optimization of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning and Development
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to build foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure and tools.
- Shadow senior engineers to understand day-to-day tasks and workflows.
- System Support and Maintenance
- Assist in monitoring system performance, identifying basic issues, and escalating them to the appropriate team members.
- Support patch management and routine updates under supervision.
- Contribute to maintaining backups and supporting recovery processes.
- Support senior engineers in automation of security and infrastructure testing.
- Contribute to creating infrastructure-as-code (IAC) templates for production web development teams.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Help update and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Prepare simple reports on system health and performance as guided by senior engineers.
- Prepare dashboards showing progress against key internal performance metrics
- Security and Compliance Support
- Learn and assist in implementing basic security compliance tasks, such as monitoring vulnerabilities and applying security patches.
- Participate in audits and compliance checks under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Provide basic support to end-users, escalating complex issues as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, Javascript.
- Familiarity with SQL Queries: Ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
