Summary of the role

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for entering engineering documents into SAP (ERP System), adding the part number, and populating all appropriate fields then communicating to organizations as appropriate
- Enters bills of materials (BOM) into SAP ERP system including setting up items for correct inventory control allocations
- Generates SAP BOMs per drawings and SAP Routings as required
- Releases new and revised (per ECO) documents and part numbers in Product Data Management software, SAP (ERP System) and a PDF copy of the document on the release document server.
- Ensures all Quality/Engineering records are controlled and current
- Processes and controls storage of Quality Records which includes change requests, procedures, specifications, reports, drawings, electronic and hardcopy archives
- Competently understands and works under the guideline, policies, procedures, and instructions of the Quality Management System
- Tracks, and facilitates timely documentation review, approval, and implementation
- Ensure only most recent versions of documents are available for use and that they are available as needed
- Manages aspects of the change analyst’s day-to-day activities and support with a key focus on product data management and how it impacts manufacturing, quality, compliance, supply chain, and logistics
- Develops and updates document control processes, workflows, and procedures with commitment to continuous improvement
- Reviews all engineering change packages for completeness and compliance with internal database and process requirement standards
- Provide ECO status, reporting, and other report generation as needed
- All other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field or
High School diploma with 4-6 years of experience
Skills and Abilities
Key Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in document control or similar.
- Experience working in SAP, or related ERP System.
- Proficient in Product Data Management software
- Ability to read technical drawings and documents
- Expert knowledge of change management practices and standards
- Experience in implementation of change management programs
- Proficient in document control processes in a diverse manufacturing environment
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to communicate at the employee, manager, and upper management levels
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Solid organization and planning skills, with strong attention to detail
- Superior customer service skills
