We have the opportunity for a full-time position in our DSP Development Team in Schaftenau.


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performance of chromatography, tangential flow filtration and other membrane separation methods for purification of recombinant proteins as part of process development and characterization at laboratory and pilot scale
• Documentation of the studies in electronic documentation systems according to defined standards
• Provide evaluation and results interpretation. Propose and provide input for the design of next experiments.
• Responsibility for equipment calibration and qualification
• Contribution to technology transfers to internal and external sites including troubleshooting and definition of process steering controls
• Evaluation of new technologies and equipment for automation of laboratory activities
• Support the organization of the laboratory and to generate lab procedures, reports and /or instructions and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Successful execution of assigned tasks within given timelines at expected quality; right first time & right in time.

Essential Requirements:

• Apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education as Chemistry HTL, CTA, BTA or MTA)
• Fluency in German and English

• Knowledge and experience of software tools e.g. Microsoft software tools, electronic lab book etc.

Desirable requirements:
• Practical experience/professional experience in purification development or protein analysis

• Experience in Downstream Processing

• GMP knowledge

• A personality with a can-do mentality and the ability to adopt to change with strong communication across organizational interfaces

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €46,305.00 /year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.  

We are open for part-time and job-sharing models and support flexible and remote working where possible.
