Role Overview

The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives is a new role with responsibility for leading key initiatives aimed at increasing our organizational maturity, operational effectiveness, and development of capabilities to support the Real World Solutions (RWS) Global Operations plan of record. In this highly visible role, you will partner with members across the RWS leadership teams to define and advance these goals.

Responsibilities

As the Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives, you will report to and work closely with the Snr Director Efficiency, Quality Management & Technology and members of the leadership teams to:         

  • Lead key strategic initiatives impacting the performance of the RWS Global Operations organization (Lean continuous improvement programs, financial & operational KPIs, internal stakeholders, customer satisfaction, automations, etc.)
  • Support the RWS Efficiency, Quality Management & Technology and Global Operations plan of record/strategic initiatives
  • Define and manage program scope, timelines and deliverables for each initiative and map out interdependence across other programs
  • Develop actionable recommendations by soliciting stakeholder input and synthesizing operational data to generate meaningful insights
  • Prepare and/or deliver well-crafted presentations & communications to senior executive audiences and other stakeholder groups
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multiple departments and Business Units

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have - Skills & Experience

  • 5-8 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, program portfolio management or equivalent
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading transformation for individual teams and organization-wide initiatives
  • Highly analytical, with ability to use the power of data combined with industry knowledge to develop insights that challenge and influence the business
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify complex concepts or data into easily understood narratives adapted for various audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills - structured approach and capable of managing competing numerous work streams simultaneously
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to match stakeholder expectations to urgently deliver exceptional results
  • Experience with Project Management (PMP/PRINCE) & Continuous Improvement (Lean/LSS) methodologies
  • Working knowledge of delivery organizations, implementation and support models preferred
  • Works effectively in a remote environment and across geographies & cultures
  • Demonstrates strong curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success
  • Fluency in English required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
  • Flexible, periodic travel for internal meetings; domestic and international (5-10% of time)
