About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Experiential Partnership Development, the Associate Director, Partnership Development is part of a new Experiential Partnership Development team that develops new partnerships and opportunities in key areas of the economy where Northeastern students are looking to gain experience (e.g., the technology sector).
The Associate Director will cultivate, develop, and manage new employer relationships to support experiential learning for Northeastern students. This position is intended for highly experienced, capable and collaborative business development professionals with a successful background in job development, sales, account management, employer relations and/or partnerships.

Knowledge and skills required are often obtained through a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 to 8 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or employer relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Partner Development Strategy and Implementation

Leading university colleagues, leveraging analytics and additional tools, to identify prospective Co-op partners; developing a sales strategy to bring them into the fold.

Collaborating with employers to facilitate the creation of new Co-op programs that align with our students' educational goals and industry trends, and support employers’ key hiring needs.
Relationship Management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives at employers to understand their organizational environment, workforce needs, and talent pipeline strategies to identify new Co-op partnership opportunities.

Establishing clear communications processes with employer-partners and acting as the main point of contact, ensuring a high level of employer satisfaction.

Staying knowledgeable on industry trends, labor market insights, and changes in employer needs to adapt partnership strategies accordingly.
Internal Stakeholder Management, Pipeline Reporting, and Operational Improvement

Comfortable driving alignment across various internal stakeholders within a decentralized organizational structure.

Helping to create and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of employer partnerships, such as the number of Co-op positions secured, employer satisfaction and retention.

Promptly and thoroughly recording progress in University CRM systems (to include Salesforce, NUworks/Simplicity, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting.

Analyzing data as needed to inform new opportunity development and identifying opportunities to expand employer relationships.

Providing guidance on partnership development collateral and communications strategies.

Regularly reporting on partnership and KPI progress.
