The Role:

Syndax is searching for a technically proficient Associate Director, Commercial Data Management & Analytics. This role is expected to be the commercial data Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading the collaborations with Syndax data suppliers and partners. In addition, this role is expected to answer key business questions, uncover innovative insights, and develop new business opportunities.   High-level expertise in data integration, analytics platforms, and business intelligence will be pivotal in supporting key commercial functions, working to integrate data with Information Technology (IT) Team and vendor partners.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement commercial data strategies that drive the optimization of analytical dashboards and data flow across Syndax data architecture.
  • Manage the onboarding of commercial datasets, lead the detailed data discussions across the ecosystem including the data suppliers, data aggregator, data warehouse and MDM to ingest, integrate, QC and steward the data. Develop documentation plans as needed.
  • Serve as Commercial data SME with strong oncology know-how of multiple data sets, including specialty pharmacy, hub data, specialty distributor, chargebacks, inventory, claims, contracting, co-pay data etc.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to streamline data collection, storage, and processing systems to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Manage data quality management process with external and internal data providers to ensure timely, accurate and complete patient and specialty pharmacy data.
  • Spearhead the integration of diverse data sources (e.g., CRM data, claims data, market research, and sales data) into cohesive and actionable insights.
  • Develop & maintains business rules/ SOP documentation with internal stakeholders, including the execution of business requirements. Lead the efforts to create and maintain the business documentation with all data vendors.
  • In conjunction with field force operations lead, ensure accuracy and reliability of all data used for incentive compensation calculation and reporting.
  • Stay current on emerging data technologies and tools, bringing new solutions to the team to optimize analysis processes.

   

Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes: 

  • BA degree required with 10+ years of Biotech or Pharma analytics experience.
  • 3+ years oncology experience preferred; hematology-oncology a plus.
  • Experience with Oncology commercial datasets, data analytics strategy, data governance, launches, building of data platforms, MDM, commercial analytics, sales force effectiveness, omnichannel, RWE.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely results.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage diverse range of projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a consultative mindset, with the ability to develop strong partnerships and influence without authority. Collaborates effectively with all business partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; including describing complex data topics in simple terms.
  • High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologies.
  • MS Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.)

Syndax offers a total compensation and rewards package that is among the most competitive in the industry. Base pay is just one element of our package and is determined within a range based on several factors including market data, experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, travel requirements and internal equity. Our overall package also includes an equity offering, annual target bonuses, and an outstanding benefits program. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is  $210,000 - $220,000.
