Responsibilities / Tasks
Job responsibilities:
• 3D Mechanical Design & 2D Manufacturing Drawings
• Static and Dynamic Analysis (Using FEA).
• Generate Final Calculation report using FEA Static and Dynamic results.
• Anchoring Calculations.
• 2D / 3D Plant Layout & Piping Drawings.
• Prepare the Sales Equipment Layout from Concept.
• Assist Sales team for Initial Information required.
• Prepare As Built Drawings.
• Obtaining Design inputs & evaluating sufficiency of the same.
• Planning the overall work in line with Project schedule.
• Review of Drawings with Engineering-Manager for Approval.
• Co-ordinate with Project Engineers & Project Managers for smooth design.
• Obtaining interdisciplinary review/approval.
• Checking of drawings & Bill of Materials.
• Release of Equipment Fabrication drawings & Bill of Materials for Fabrication.
• Release of Equipment GA drawings for Customer’s approval.
• Incorporation of Customer’s comments.
• Other Departmental activities / Other activities as required.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Educational qualification:
Masters / Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design)
Years and type of experience:
3-6 years of design experience using one or more of the following software:
• PTC Creo Parametric (Mandatory - Advanced Level Skills)
• PTC Windchill (Mandatory - Basic / Advanced Level Skills)
• CREO Simulate (Mandatory - Basic / Advanced Level Skills)
• Autodesk AutoCAD (Mandatory - Advanced Level Skills)
• ANSYS (Static Structural)
• Staad Pro (Optional – Basic)
Experience with design and analysis of stainless-steel components and steel structures for the Food, Dairy, Chemical and Pharma
industry as some of the following examples:
• Steel Structures and Access Platforms.
• Equipment support structures.
• Anchoring Design for Structures.
• CIP Skid
• Blade / Impellers
• Tanks & Silos
Candidates with knowledge of pharma process and product lines shall have added advantage.
Skills / Knowledge:
• Excellent user of CAD and CAE tools
• Proven experience working within a design department.
• PLM/PDM Software
• Team player
• Understanding of P&IDs
• Hygienic Design (Pharmaceutical / Food - Industry)
• Attitude to learn new technology
• Stainless steel and/or plastic as material
• Willing to work on multiple technology
• Machine safety standards and applicable norms
• International Code and Standards (FDA, BS, ASME, DIN, ISO, 3A, ANSI, USDA…)
• Technical report writing.
• MS Office
Language Skills:
Excellent written and oral English skills are a must.
