Dallas College is seeking an experienced, highly collaborative leader with a proven track record of developing strategic plans and securing funding for new and ongoing projects and programs. The Associate Dean, Strategic Initiatives and Grants, will work closely with the Dean of Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science (ECIT) and other associate deans to further the mission of the program. This role is anticipated to start in December 2024.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.

Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and educational leadership experience, or equivalent.

Experience in strategic planning and grant management.

Key Responsibilities
-
Collaborate with the Dean of ECIT and other associate deans to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the mission and goals of the program.

Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, partnerships, and other sources of financial support for new and ongoing projects and programs.
-
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, foundations, and industry partners, to secure funding and support for strategic initiatives.
-
Oversee the preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and deadlines.
-
Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects and programs, ensuring that objectives are met, and funds are used effectively.

Assist with program assessment and improvement of the new Bachelor of Applied Technology program to ensure the program meets industry standards.
-
Help secure grant funding to accomplish the mission of the program.

Work closely with various departments within Dallas College to ensure a cohesive approach to strategic planning and grant management.

Serve as a liaison between Dallas College and external funding agencies, providing regular updates and reports as required.

Participate in college task forces, committees, and councils as required.

Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

Perform other duties as assigned.
