Job Summary:

OTC Clearing Hong Kong Limited (OTC Clear) is a central counterparty (CCP) established by HKEX for the purpose of providing clearing and settlement services for OTC derivative transactions.
OTC Clear Product Development covers new clearing services, product development and regulatory initiatives in relation to clearing business. OTC Clear currently provides clearing of interest rate swaps (IRS), non-deliverable currency forwards (NDF), deliverable FX (DFX) and the principal exchange guaranteed cross currency swap (CCS) in USD/CNH and USD/HKD. OTC Clear also support Swap Connect which offshore investors can clear onshore CNY IRS, without changing their existing trading and settlement practices.

Job Duties:

The successful applicant will join OTC Clear Product Development within the Markets division, and is responsible for developing new product initiatives and executing strategic plan in OTC Clear.

Responsibilities:

• Involve in the execution of departmental strategy and new business initiatives, collaborate with teams to achieve business objectives.
• Formulate and write up the business proposal on new products & clearing services.
• Act as an internal product expert working closely with Risk Management, Operations, internal technology teams to design and implement the new product & clearing services.
• Manage IT development schedule to ensure functional requirements are joined up to provide a workable solution.
• Work with Operations, Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Compliance to draft or amend clearing rules and procedures; followed by drafting proposals and documents to obtain regulatory approval before product launch.
• Participate in various working groups to ensure the clearing members understand operating model and process design and are fully supported through training and testing.

Requirements:

• University degree holder preferably in Finance, or other related subjects
• At least 5-10 years’ relevant industry experience
• Strong business analysis skills
• Demonstrable project planning and management skills through delivery examples
• A self-starter, team player and good communicator with sound judgment and good problem solving skills
• Fluent in Chinese and English, both written and verbal
• Background in OTC derivatives and Fixed Income & Currencies
• Ideally experience across trade lifecycle for OTC products and OTC Clearing
