We are seeking an Assistant Service Coordinator Program Director who is compassionate, enjoys new challenges, and has a passion for working with people. The Assistant Service Coordinator Program Director (ASCPD) will assist the Program Director in managing and overseeing the Service Coordinator department to ensure that the work done by the Service Coordinators is effectively implemented and monitored to ensure alignment with department and organizational goals while meeting regulatory requirements. The position entails program support and coordination, staff supervision and training, quality assurance, and administrative duties. The Assistant Service Coordinator Program Director may also be called upon to mediate disputes if conflict arises where social work issues are in question.
General Assignments & Administrative Duties:
• Post employment advertisements; screen applicants; interview and offer employment to new Service Coordinators.
• Provide and participate in the initial training and orientation of new Service Coordinators with recommended attendance by manager/administrators whenever possible.
• Train Service Coordinator in appropriate areas of social work practice and be familiar with state and federal regulations that govern the housing industry.
• Recommend educational opportunities to Service Coordinators and monitor their yearly training.
• Provide guidance on problem-solving methods, techniques and service management practices.
• Review record-keeping documentation and feedback from management, and residents regarding the effectiveness of the Service Coordinator before producing an annual employee evaluation.
• Initiates the reporting, policy and procedures governing the Service Coordinator position and sees to the adherence of such procedures including, where appropriate, HUD requirement governing the Service Coordinator position.
• Ensure that the Service Coordinator follows appropriate documentation practices and that Service Coordinator files contain appropriate resident information.
• Provide coaching, disciplinary action, and recommendations for separation from employment when warranted.
• Be made aware of changes in local, state, or federal programs or policies that may have an impact on the Service Coordinator position as it relates to residents, supportive services, or housing management. This includes the Service Coordinator and management keeping appraised of pertinent information impacting their role as supervisor.
• Establish administrative procedures that manage the Service Coordinator program and meet HUD requirements.
• Track grant expenditures and follow HUD’s procedures for budget modifications as needed.
• Submit reimbursement billing to HUD via the LOCCS system on a monthly basis; or as backup documentation is provided via the accounting process.
• ASCPD should be knowledgeable of programmatic financial requirements and changes governing the position including any funding renewal and/or grant extension processes. It is important that the ASCPD be apprised of possible reduction or removal of funding for the Service Coordinator position.
• Provide quality assurance to all sites under the supervision of KMG Prestige
• Conduct onsite physical inspections to determine that the Service Coordinator’s office meets HUD guidelines.
• Review Service Coordinator documentation, training records, and satisfaction surveys to ensure adequate and compliant provision of services.
• This position will be a combination of remote work and on-site work, some travel required.
Qualifications:
• A master’s degree in a human service-related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of the Service Coordinator program, American Association of Service Coordinators and AASC Online software preferred.
• Experience in the field of social work, service coordination, and program management preferred.
