This role offers hybrid or on site working aligned with either our Harrogate or Huntingdon site.
The Assistant Program Manager supports a number of Program Managers in all aspects of managing global development programs and providing clients with a Program Management service assisting in the design, conduct and coordination of multidisciplinary, integrated programs across all Labcorp locations, including other Labcorp Business Units and third-party vendors. An Assistant Program Manager can expect to have significant interactions with clients by email, phone and face to face and should build a relationship based on mutual understanding and respect. Under the guidance of a Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager may work on programs or client portfolios but will routinely be assigned to scoped work with either an Alliance Manager or Director Drug Development & Regulatory Strategy (DD&RS) or a CPC Regulatory Program Director.
Duties Include:

Assisting in the management and tracking of individual project resources needed throughout the development program

Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the appropriate tools, such as Gantt, study trackers, financial trackers, communication plan, risk log, action trackers, etc. for each program, ensuring that they are maintained and the program teams, including the client, are provided with regular updates

Assisting in providing a program management service for development programs to the client including coordination of internal and external teams across multiple Labcorp Business Unit globally

Assisting a Program Manager or Senior Program Manager in the leadership of the core program team, including Study Directors, Principal Investigators, Project Managers from individual business units, and third party vendors

Liaising across all operational units and locations to obtain individual study schedules to achieve overall program development milestones agreed with the Sponsor

Working with the individual study teams to ensure critical data are issued as required

Effectively solving problems as they arise on programs

Having strong relationships and proactively promoting teamwork

Maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with internal and client program team

Education / Qualifications:
-
BSc in the Life Sciences field or equivalent industry experience
Skills / Experience:
-
Demonstrable experience within a science related environment required; CRO and Drug Development knowledge and/or experience advantageous

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work to deadlines, prioritize tasks and manage multiple changing priorities

Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on client needs

Planning and organizational skills

Computer proficiency with good working knowledge of a range of I.T packages

Ability to work with financial information

Capable of working autonomously but also in a team environment
