WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Product Manager who has the passion and tenacity to face unknown challenges, and the sense of responsibility to identify, make decisions, and solve problems on his/her own. The person who takes on this position must also have the courage to take on the world's unparalleled challenges of Toyota Woven City, to collaboratively create things that do not yet exist, and to occasionally open up new possibilities on his or her own. The successful candidate will also need to be a strong communicator who can interact tenaciously with many internal and external stakeholders, and be flexible enough to adapt smoothly to changes in the environment and directions. This position may change the work location from Tokyo to Susono. At the very least, the position requires frequent travel to the area as a business trip. Reporting to the Department Manager, this position is a hybrid work arrangement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the lifecycle of platform products from planning, requirements definition, market introduction, and sales expansion
  • Define functional/non-functional requirements for the product and create a product roadmap for commercialization
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy for the product, set short- and medium-term goals, and lead the team to achieve them
  • Develop pricing strategy for platform products through market research
  • Understand the goals of internal and external stakeholders and coordinate with them to move the business forward
  • Perform day-to-day project management to ensure goals are met
  • Review processes and incorporate feedback to drive continuous improvement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in business planning and product management of software products
  • Experience with multiple launches and subsequent growth of new software products
  • 3+ years of experience managing creative (engineers and designers) teams
  • Experience in defining requirements and designing experiences for multiple systems and services
  • Experience in designing and analyzing multiple user research studies, implementing improvements derived from those studies, and making proposals to management
  • Conversational level English and Business Level Japanese language skills

NICE TO HAVES

  • Marketing and PR experience
  • Experience in P/L and other income/expense planning
  • Agile/Scrum methodology
