A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
Key Accountabilities: Strategic Sourcing & Value management
- Oversee the entire strategic sourcing process across all categories to deliver significant strategic value.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies based on thorough market analysis and the organization’s needs.
- Drive sourcing performance through the execution of activities like Sourcing Discovery, Pipeline Planning, Requirements Planning, Demand Management, Supplier Selection, and Smart Sourcing Practices.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing end-to-end sourcing processes, from strategy development to obtaining approvals for award recommendation documentation.
- Validate requests, scope of work, and liaise with stakeholders’ team and related team to ensure all the business requirements are valid and completed especially for Logistics and Services commodities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on sourcing strategies and goals to support organizational success.
- Conduct market research and assess suppliers to identify key partners and facilitate their integration into the supply chain.
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage contract terms to ensure favorable agreements for the organization.
- Identify, recommend, and implement procurement technologies and process improvements to increase efficiency and drive better results.
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
- A Professional experience with minimum 5 years in end-to-end sourcing and contracting.
- Knowledge or experience in Strategic Procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in commercial negotiation, ensuring favorable terms and outcomes.
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
