This role will report to the Manager Group Procurement & Administration and mainly to support in end-to-end strategic sourcing, procurement and vendor management to maximize for money bank-wide spending by way of:
Product and Market Research:
- Analyze industry and emerging market trends supply base issues to minimize procurement risk, protect continuity of supply, and optimize emerging opportunities.
- Conduct product and market research to ascertain better quality, price, value, fulfillment etc & evaluate vendors’ core competencies and competitive market positioning.
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
- Implement and conduct effective sourcing and procurement strategies including competitive bids, RFPs, tenders, request for quotation/proposals and creative negotiations.
- Check and approve Purchase Order on daily basis & ensure seamless availability of products and services to support internal stakeholders’ requests and the Bank’s strategic objectives.
- Carry out forward planning of procurement activity including reviewing tender event schedules, empaneling vendors, reference checking etc.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Develop effective long-term relationships with key stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the strategic and operational needs of the Bank are supported.
- Facilitate vendor evaluations and assessments to minimize procurement risk
- Leveraging on supplier relationships to ensure the negotiation obtaining an optimal acquisition based on quality, price and fulfillment turnaround.
Analysis and Business Initiatives:
- Provide support in implementing strategic initiatives such as business transformation, environmental / social / governance sustainability and cost management initiatives related to of sourcing & procurement
- Produce regular ad-hoc in-depth analysis and review reports on vendor performance, total spend and potential savings to identify improvement initiatives.
Organizational:
- Responsible for the bank's procurement of CAPEX, OPEX, projects and contracts.
- Deliver and monitor analysis and insights that inform management of the result of the bank's procurement activities.
Job Requirements:

Malaysian Citizen.

Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree / Master Degree in Financing /Accounting/Banking/ Economics / Business Studies/Administration/Management, or relevant equivalent supply-chain qualification.

At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field, preferably in the banking industry.

Strong communication (both verbal and written) and stakeholders management capabilities

Advanced in MS Excel, Ms Words, PowerPoint. Familiar using e-procurement systems and spend analytics tool as part of duties deliverance.

Detailed-oriented, proactive, decisive and independent with ability to multi-task while delivering results.
