- The Assistant Manager, Actuarial Valuation is responsible for conducting actuarial reserve calculations, supporting local RBC calculations, and contributing to business planning processes under the local statutory basis. This role involves analyzing insurance risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial insights for decision-making. The position also includes mentoring junior staff, preparing actuarial reports, and addressing stakeholder queries related to statutory valuations and local RBC assessments.

- Progress towards or completion of professional actuarial qualifications (ASAI preferred)
- Experience specifically in insurance or consulting
- Proficiency in Actuarial Software (AXIS preferred)
- Experience with business planning and financial forecasting in the insurance industry

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in actuarial roles
- Experience with reserve calculations, solvency assessments, and RBC modeling
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to reserves and solvency
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulatory environment, and financial/accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
- Basic programming language skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- In-depth understanding of actuarial reserve methodologies and solvency regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment

- Analyze insurance risks and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior staff and prepare actuarial reports
- Provide solutions to stakeholder queries related to statutory valuations and local RBC assessments
- Develop and improve methodologies for reserve calculations and RBC assessments
- Analyze and interpret complex data to support business planning decisions
- Identify and implement process improvements in actuarial methodologies and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product actuarial, finance, accounting, and reinsurance
- Present findings, recommendations, and actuarial insights to senior management and executives
- Coordinate with CGAAP Actuarial Valuation team on PSAK 117 (IFRS 17) matters
