THE JOB:


As the Assistant General Manager of StripSteak, you will play a vital role in the continued success of one of Mandalay Bay’s premier dining establishments. You will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading the team, managing guest experiences, and driving the restaurant’s financial and operational goals. From collaborating with culinary teams to ensuring smooth service you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role at a renowned celebrity chef steakhouse celebrated for its exceptional service, innovative cuisine, and dynamic dining atmosphere.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Provide hands-on leadership by assisting with guest interactions, managing floor operations, and supporting the team during high-volume service.
  • Oversee restaurant operations, including fiscal budgets, labor productivity, inventory management, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining room.
  • Supervise administrative duties including, menu pricing, bar inventory, and POS updates.
  • Maintain Forbes Service Standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience for VIPs and all guests alike.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to uphold high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • 2 years of leadership experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Proven ability to lead by example, engage with guests, and support the team during service.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with experience handling labor management and providing training.
  • Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreement environments.
  • Wine knowledge or WSET certification is a plus but not required.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and empathetic leadership style to work with a seasoned team.
  • Driven to grow the business, enhance guest satisfaction, and exceed operational goals.
