Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Athletics Administration - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Athletics Director’s electronic calendar.

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Athletics Director’s suite, which includes, the athletics director’s calendar and logistics. 

  • Assist the Athletic Director in portraying their vision by creating professional presentations for public speaking engagements and prospect meetings.

  • Process the Athletics Director’s and Deputy Athletics Directors’ expense reports/reimbursements.

  • Attend meetings to assist the Athletics Director and executive staff, monitor attendance, support participants, and record meeting minutes.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events hosted by the Athletics Department. These events include but are not limited to, the annual athletics awards banquet, annual student-athlete events, all-staff events, and monthly internal events.

  • Review and process all incoming correspondence and other communications forwarded to the Athletics Director’s generic email account and office phone, ensuring that the Athletics Director or Deputy Athletics Director receives all relevant communications requiring a response.

  • Assist in handling Athletics volunteer paperwork, NCAA mandated trainings, and any projects given by Deputy AD.

  • Provide administrative support for general Athletics Department office operations, including coordinating the automated phone system and office supplies.

Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.

Salary:

$35,705 - $45,000 per year.
