The Director Scientific Innovations plays an integral role in identifying, evaluating, facilitating, and designing new scientific business opportunities that drive strategic growth for the company. This position requires deep clinical and scientific expertise as well as business acumen to assess and design assets and establish thriving partnerships. The ideal candidate is highly adaptive and thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in navigating the complexities of multiple therapeutic areas.

This position can be based out of Click’s headquarters located in Tribeca, NYC, at the center of one of the fastest-growing digital health communities or at our industrious office in Boston, MA, Miami, FL or Raleigh, NC. We have a hybrid working model that consists of at least 3 days in office each week.

Responsibilities:

Business Development: 

  • Collaboratively develop and implement therapeutic strategies as part of the business development process that align with the organization's scientific objectives and financial goals with the Business Development team. 

Proposal Development & Diligence:

  • Provide scientific leadership in the development of proposals for new collaborations and business ventures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and validate compelling and competitive proposals.

Partner Relationship Management & Growth:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with emerging and existing partners.
  • Act as a liaison between the scientific and business teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.     
  • Support expansion efforts for existing partners.     
  • Establish and foster relationships with researchers, entrepreneurs, biotech/pharma companies to remain attuned to emerging innovations ripe for partnering.

Other Responsibilities:

  • New Clinical Asset Early-Stage Incubations.
  • Provide scientific leadership to new assets through the stages of product planning and business development, emerging partnership communications, and establishment of the partnership. 

 Organizational Culture: 

  • Contribute to a collaborative and innovative culture within the Growth and Innovation team.

Scientific Leadership:

  • Embody scientific leadership through contributing to the external scientific community through conference attendance and publications.

Qualifications:

  • A doctoral/professional degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PsyD, PharmD) with specialization in a CNS discipline (e.g., neurology, psychiatry, psychology). Clinical practice experience is preferred. 
  • A strong neuroscience background (e.g., human cognition, neurophysiology, etc.) and a deep understanding of brain function and behavior.
  • 7+ years experience in the life science industry, preferably with business development, medical affairs, and/or other allied commercial responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and collaboration abilities.
  • Proven experience in scientific business development, strategic planning, and partnership management.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and scientific advancements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into business opportunities.
  • Results-driven with a track record of successful business development initiatives.

Compensation: 

The base salary range for this position is between: $165,000 - $195,000. The final base salary will be dependent upon skills, experience and location. In addition to the base salary, Click Therapeutics offers an annual performance-based cash bonus and a generous equity package.
