Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing is seeking a creative, energetic, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented team player to join our award-winning team. The Assistant Art Director will report to the Marketing & Design Manager and work closely with other members of the Art, Photo, and branded content editorial departments.
Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing (DDMTM) is an industry leader in custom lifestyle travel content that specifically supports destinations and attractions across the country. This position will consistently deliver a high standard of client service, beautiful functional design, creative ideation and effective promotional packages—working within internal quality standards and exceeding client expectations. This role requires a keen eye for translating client’s brands. Strong attention to detail is a must, and experience communicating effectively with other internal stakeholders, including editorial leadership and account directors, is essential.
A strong desire to stay on top of design trends in print, interactive, usability, and social is an expectation, and a strong interest in other production mediums (ex: video) is a plus.
A creative portfolio is a requirement for consideration.

Photo acquisition, album creation, location matrix and archive delivery

Development of advertiser co-ops for client visitor’s guides as well as house ads
Support in creation and management of internal marketing assets. Examples include:

Conference materials

Digital & social mocks for new pitches

Creation of Media Kits

Case study builds and maintenance

Self-promotion materials - print and digital, social and newsletters

Website regular maintenance

Maintenance of marketing assets, such as IOs, media kits

- 65% - Support in creating client marketing assets as listed above
- 25% - Support creation of internal marketing assets as identified above
- 10% - All other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education: Graphic design/visual communications degree or relevant work experience
Experience: 3+ years marketing/design experience required
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be a quick study and willing to dive into projects that may be unfamiliar.

Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite is required.

Familiarity with Airtable or other project management software is a plus.

Must be comfortable working with all types of media—video, still photography, print and digital projects.
