OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day processing in the Finance department. This means that the role has ownership of the day-to-day running of, and input into, the longer-term financial direction of the business.
We are looking for an honest and open individual with a methodical and consistent approach showing excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear communication to non finance focused colleagues is essential as the Assistant Accountant works closely with all other departments within the business to process financial data, in purchase ledger management and credit control, and running payroll. Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you would be working with the Delivery and Client Services teams, alongside members of the Senior Management Team including the Joint Managing Directors, Client Service Director and HR Director.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Qualified to AAT or equivalent is essential
- Working towards or qualified to CIMA or ACCA is desirable
- Experience of accounting systems is essential (Xero/SAGE preferable as current software)
- Strong mathematics, data manipulation and analytical skills
- Able to meet tight deadlines as needed
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and influencer skills
