SUMMARY

Sells the company’s products and/or services by interacting with major accounts developing new prospects and expanding business through purchases, sales, credit, logistics, and collections.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and complete knowledge of the company’s policies, products and/or services.
  • Develops sales of products and/or services by researching and analyzing market trends, researching and resolving customer problems, researching and selecting vendors, recommending modifications to the product/service line and negotiating with appropriate personnel.
  • Travels regularly to communicate with customers & vendors (both existing and prospective) regarding the purchasing and sales of product.
  • Provides information for sales forecasts.
  • Under general supervision, plans, conducts and may supervise assignments generally involving the larger and more important customers.
  • Reviews progress and evaluates results.
  • Recommends changes in procedures.
  • Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
  • Reviews progress with management.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to complete difficult assignments.
  • Customers may be domestic or international requiring familiarity with world markets, foreign exchange and other types of risks.
  • Other duties and projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred (ex. Business)
  • Preferred 5-7 years experience in sales, customer services, production control and logistics (import/export)
