POSITION PURPOSE
As a key member of the International Tax team, reporting to the Global Tax Director based in Switzerland, the Asia Regional Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing tax efficiency and compliance across the Asia region and in accordance with the group approach. Collaborating closely with the Regional Finance team and supporting the Asia Head of Finance. this role focuses on aligning tax strategies with global objectives while ensuring adherence to regional tax regulations. Based in Singapore, the manager will serve as a critical partner in navigating complex tax environments, providing strategic guidance, and enhancing operational effectiveness across Asia.
Job Description
- Coordinate and manage activities in area of Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and Transfer Pricing of the Asia Regional Principal Company based in Singapore.
- Leading and managing BAPA negotiations in collaboration with HQ. local authorities and external consultants. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with BAPA requirements.
- Knowledge of Asia Pacific Tax and Transfer Pricing environment, capable to consolidate and maintain the internal policies in line with the various local legislations, practices and agreements.
- Accountability for maintaining relationships with local tax authorities, finance teams across regions, and external advisors.
- Monitor and liaise with external consultant on Transfer Price documentation, ensure smooth Transfer Price Model implementation.
- Oversee and support Transfer Pricing activities across countries by:
- Coordinating documentation with external providers and internal teams.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all documents.
- Managing Transfer Pricing adjustments.
- Maintaining intercompany agreements between global/regional principals and local entities.
- Manage and execute tax compliance process, coordinate between local management and external service providers
- Support tax audits with tax authorities.
- Provide comprehensive tax guidance and assess implications for business projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with APAC tax laws and regulations.
- Good knowledge of the Double Tax Treaties and Free Trade Agreements mechanisms in order to proper analyze cross-border transactions of the region.
- Strong understanding of international pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks affecting tax planning and compliance is an asset.

Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA). Advanced degrees such as MBA or LLM (Taxation) are a plus)
- At least 10 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, international consulting firm, or the in-house tax function of a multinational corporation, with a proven track record in managing complex tax matters.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in transfer pricing strategies, documentation, and audits, including experience with Advanced Pricing Agreements (APAs) and BEPS-related regulation
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations across the Asia-Pacific region, including familiarity with double tax treaties, free trade agreements, and tax incentives offered by various jurisdictions.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-border teams, partnering with finance, legal, and operational teams to address tax challenges and ensure alignment with global objective.
- Ability to understand tax rules, impact on business and solution oriented.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines
