About the team and the role:

Do you have a keen eye for detail, sharp concepting skills, and a desire to collaborate with some of the most dedicated creatives in the biz? The eBay Brand Creative team is looking for a hardworking art director and creative leader for one of our focus-categories. You’re not only an innovative visual storyteller who can concept and design compelling, brand-building creative no matter the form—from short films, Instagram stories, and collaborative lock-ups, to landing pages and out-of-the-box ideas—but also someone who’s able to concisely explain that compelling concept and guide it along. You have innovative narrative and technical skills, nuanced ideas, boundless creativity, and a collaborative spirit. Subject matter expertise is a huge plus, but not critical as long as there’s passion and capability for fast, on-the-job learning.
What you will accomplish:
- Concept and develop creative for video, social, onsite, offsite display, and more.
- Review, strengthen, and approve adjacent creative projects by outside agencies.
- Work closely and effectively with diverse teams—including copywriters and designers, videographers, social strategists, marketing managers, and planning partners—to drive creative work forward within the context of the business.
- Present creative to key partners with clarity and professionalism.
- Complete work that is engaging, data driven, and aligns with our brand’s aesthetic, standards, and needs.
- Ensure that visual style is consistent across teams and channels, aligns with brand, and meets accessibility/platform standards.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years graphic design experience, including motion graphics, responsive design, and additional territories—video, photo, print, and more.
- A stellar portfolio that represents a wide range of complex, creatively diverse, high-profile brands and projects and shows strong concepting skills—the ability to build an idea into creative that cuts through.
- Expert creative knowledge in desktop, mobile, display and social spaces/technicalities/standard processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required; After Effects/Cinema 4D/Blender is a plus.
- A collaborative can-do attitude, openness to sharing ideas in an open forum, and ability to receive feedback and apply it constructively.
- An ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple tasks from multiple stakeholders.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$87,200 - $116,400
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
