Our Data and Analytics Solution Architect will be a key leader in shaping our organization’s data strategy and infrastructure.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall vision, design, and implementation plan of a data architecture that enables and empowers our business to meet and exceed their goals. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, data integration, and data governance, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Data Architect, Sr. Engineering, or other related role, preferably within the electrical contracting or energy sector, with a strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), data warehousing, and data integration tools.

  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and other database query languages.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) preferred.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with machine learning and AI preferred.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and helps implement robust, cost-effective data architecture solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Implements data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow across various systems and platforms.
  • Develops and maintains processes for data modeling, data dictionaries, and metadata management.
  • Contributes to and improves data governance processes that ensure increasing maturing in data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborates with infrastructure engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translates them into technical solutions.
  • Contributes to the selection and implementation of appropriate data governance and security practices to ensure data privacy and compliance.
  • Monitors and optimizes the performance of the cloud data infrastructure.
  • Drives innovation with latest cloud data technologies and trends.
  • Documents and communicates complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
