About the Role: 

As an Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for customer billing and collection. The position is critical to Socure’s success and will need to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and FP&A. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing of customers and application of customer payments. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of order-to-cash processes, an ability to interpret complex contracts, and strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has excellent organizational skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to support the company’s continued success and growth. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in management of the month-end billing process, including preparation and sending of customer invoices

• Ensure contracts with customers are reviewed for appropriate for key billing terms and applicable fees

• Verify key contract terms are accurate in the billing system to ensure proper invoicing

• Apply customer payments and perform follow-up with customers on any late payments 

• Maintain and update billing and collection policies and processes 

• Assist in providing applicable documentation required for the external audit related to billing and revenue accounting

• Actively identify any opportunities to streamline and automate existing billing and collection processes that would reduce the time to complete the monthly billing

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement and ensure the effectiveness of all internal controls governing the billing and revenue function

• Assist with special projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• 4+ years of billing and collection experience in the SaaS Industry 

• ERP experience required (NetSuite preferred)

• Self-starter who task ownership of important tasks

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced environment

• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions

• Experience preparing audit ready documentation  

• A solid understanding internal controls in the areas of billing and collection of customer invoices

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with customers

• Strong attention to detail and applicable technical skills

• Ability to meet firm deadlines

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary Range: $47,000 - $55,000

This represents the expected salary for range for the job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other related job factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and for applicable roles, an annual discretionary performance bonus.
