How you will impact the organization…
We are seeking an A/R Specialist to join our Consensus Finance team. This role is responsible for all aspects of cash management, including posting receipts, clearing unapplied cash, processing refunds, and timely customer response. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong customer service skills, and has experience in accounts receivable. Flexibility, independence, and teamwork are essential.
The value you will deliver…
- Process and post payments/ refunds to customer accounts including cash, checks, wires, bank transfers and credit card transactions.
- Respond to customer billing questions, customer disputes and escalate to supervisor or manager as needed.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable policies, procedures, and controls.
- Monitor and manage unapplied cash on a daily basis. – All customers must be emailed when no remittance is given and duplicate payments must be refunded daily.
- Responsible for sending invoice copies to customers upon request.
- Responsible for invoice adjustments for collections, bad debt, and tax.
- Ability to work required overtime during month end.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
What you will bring to the table…
- 1+ year of AR Finance experience that includes posting cash
- 1+ year of experience working with unapplied cash, which includes: refunds and invoice adjustments
- 1+ year experience of Finance Customer Service
- 1+ year of experience with Oracle
- 1+ year of experience with Salesforce
- Track and notate accounts with unapplied cash and update accordingly
- Strong Excel skills (Vlookup and pivot tables)
- Experience within a large company in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
- Strong analytical mentality.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
You will stand out if you also have…
- Knowledge of Oracle Lockbox and integrations with the bank
- BS degree in accounting or finance preferred
Additional details…
- Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. (Los Angeles OR Las Vegas preferred.)
- Travel requirements: Up to 10% travel.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time.
- Technology requirements: Reliable, high speed internet
- Eligible for sponsorship: No
The salary range for this role is $40,000-$55,000 USD. The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
