GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The AR & Billing Analyst collect and monitors the collection of past due accounts and handles the most sensitive problems and liaises with customers and other departments to resolve credit problems. May collect and negotiate terms of payment on overdue accounts. Additionally, will ensure invoices a ready to collect by uploading to the customer´s web sites or ensuring invoices were received and recorded.
The successful candidate is an individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience, focused to key indicators as DSO and Past Due.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collections:
- Responsible for developing relationships to facilitate the collections of accounts receivable and resolving internal/external issues preventing timely payment with customers and important stakeholders such as sales and customer service.
- Conduct collection calls, emails, and customer visits to collect accounts receivables.
- Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and document root cause.
- Resolve payment discrepancies; respond to invoice inquiries, proof of delivery and statement requests.
- Conduct calls with sales team to review special cases.
- Ensure accounts aging is mainly between 1 to 30 days, excellent manage of old invoices to prevent write offs
- Reconcile customer statements.
Billing:
- Upload Chemtreat invoices and other requested documents to customer’s web sites timely to ensure payment can be scheduled
- Follow up with commercial team to ensure invoices/supports are delivered in site timely

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- 3-5 years in similar position.
- Effective business writing and professional communication skills.
- Actively participate and communicate in team-based work groups.
- 5 years’ experience utilizing Microsoft Office, Internet, and related computer skills.
- Demonstrated Effective Customer Service Skills.
- Technical, Analytical skills and business knowledge
- Negotiation Skills (for internal and external deals)
- Communication and Interpersonal skills; Teamwork and accountable
- Results based approach.
- High Organizational skills; Self-management
- Apply basic accounting principles in the interpretation of customer financial statements (desirable)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance preferred or 3-5 years’ equivalent experience
