Job Description

KLA, is looking for an Application Team Leader r to be part of the development of our cutting-edge systems, incorporating various technologies. 
The application engineer position is a multidiscipline one that encompasses mechanical, electrical, optical, SW and algorithmic understanding to evaluate and define system behaviour and design.

What Will Your Job Look Like?

  • Manage a Versatile Team Across Multiple Products: Lead a team of skilled application engineers.
  • Collaborate with R&D: Work closely with R&D team leaders (Software, Algorithms, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) and program managers.
  • Application Team Responsibilities:
    • Draft application specifications and definitions for R&D development.
    • Define customer needs and integrate new features to maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Assist with machine evaluations and testing at customer sites.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Team Building: Build and nurture a strong application team.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate good system understanding and technical affiliation.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading teams to achieve their goals.
  • Agile Environment: Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Scrum Mastery: Ownership of agile processes and product management.
  • Monthly Planning: Define sprint goals and priorities.
    • User Stories Review: Review and prioritize user stories and key outcomes.
    • Definition of Done (DoD) Approval: Ensure all tasks meet the DoD criteria.

Co-Responsibility for the Application/QA Team

  • Lead and Grow: Lead and grow the application team for applicative tasks and Scrum mastering.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time and properly tested.
  • Multidisciplinary Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary activities from start to finish.
  • Managerial Experience: At least 3 years of managerial experience is a must.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Customer Engagement: Experience with customer engagements is essential.
  • Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel abroad up to 30%.
  • Multidisciplinary Environment: Experience in a multidisciplinary working environment.
  • Work Under Pressure: Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Azure DevOps (ADO): Experience with ADO is an advantage.
