This is an on-site position working out of our corporate office or from one of our plant locations: Dallas, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. 

Job Description

Coordinate Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) setup and maintenance between Stratas Foods and its internal and external customers. Deliver efficiently and effectively end-user support on the use of various types of software programs while fulfilling business objectives. Troubleshooting applications and software as well as assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement on in-house applications. Understand the business units’ strategy, objectives, issues and processes.

Responsibilities

1. Manage trading partner relationships utilizing OpenText (previously Liaison) ECS Toolset, SFTP and AS2 connections and configurations.

2. Provide daily support and maintenance of EDI reports and EDI data transactions. (IE. EDI810, 812, 850, 855, 860, 865, 875, 880, 856, 997, 940, 943, 944, 945, and 204)

3. Assist in development and streamlining of automated reports and processes using tools such as Batch files, Delta ECS, MEC ION.

4. Develops and monitors customer and vendor integrations, ongoing maintenance, and support activities..

5. Recommend data mining process improvements / reporting opportunities based on existing practices.

6. Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.

7. Support and understand in depth the Infor M3 system modules for CO (Customer Orders), DO (Distribution Orders) and Pos (Purchase Orders).

8. Contribute to process development and best practice. Look at new ways to improve performance levels and supportability related to data integrity and data mining.

9. Document new processes and procedures for I.T.department.

10. Ensure I.T. knowledgebase is kept current.

11. Effectively participate on cross-functional teams.

12. Manage time effectively to meet individual and project deadlines.

13. Other I.T. projects as needed

Qualifications

Education: BA/BS degree in Information Technology or related technical area preferred or equivalent education and experience.

Related Experience:

  • 3-5 years of technical and analytical knowledge
  • EDI and/or VAN experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of different EDI transactions (810, 997)
  • SFTP experience is preferred

Equipment/Software Skills:

  • Capable of using multiple software packages as tools for analysis and data entry
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint)

Physical: While performing duties for this job, the employee will regularly sit for extended periods of time. Walking to and from user’s desk when applicable.
