Java Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background mainly in back-end technologies, with a focus on Java for application development. Additionally, experience with modern development practices such as Agile, CI/CD, and Domain Driven Design is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of an application development project. Tasks may include installing new systems applications; updating applications; performing configuration and testing activities; applications programming for assigned modules within a larger program.
• You will be working under supervision from the Technical lead/Project Manager or a Senior Developer to accomplish assigned tasks. At the same time contribute a design for specific deliverables and assist in the development of technical solutions.
• Job duties will include design, development and testing, using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Help maintain a rigorous software build and testing framework for continuous building and testing the developed software and keep track of failed builds or build issues.
• Prepare software technical documentation based on functional documentation and specifications, taking into account any specified functional and technical requirements.

• You are expected to work within an international environment, using a broad set of technologies and frameworks.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree holder in applied computer sciences, applied informatics or a related field
• Multiple years of professional working experience Java/JEE application full-stack development technologies and tools
• Strong experience with Angular for front-end development
• Experience with designing & developing of applications using Java/J2EE technologies and tools such as Java, JavaScript and Typescript, Angular, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, JSON, XML, Maven, Docker, …
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber for BDD
• In-depth knowledge of container platforms and Docker
• Experience in developing cloud-native applications
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Experience in the creation of technical designs and in leading technical designers
• Understanding of event-driven architectures
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with large business-critical applications
• Proven track record of working in Agile development environments
• Language requirements: fluent in Dutch (oral and written) and English
