Get to Know The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer with a strong background in Master Data Management (MDM). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in either Python or .NET, with a proven ability build enterprise grade applications and deliver strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong background with building Security mastering and master data management solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data integration, data quality, and MDM best practices to support our enterprise data management initiatives.
The Contributions You'll Make:
- Candidate must have proven ability to manage problem solving, troubleshooting and triage situations that bring matters to a successful conclusion.
- Design and implement MDM solutions to centralize, standardize, and manage critical data entities across the organization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to develop scalable applications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices in software development.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Provide technical feedback and ensure team alignment with best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture with a focus on innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and continuously evaluate tools to improve the data engineering ecosystem.
- Ensure that data delivery architecture supports current and future organizational needs.
- Candidate will operate in a dynamic environment and be open to the adoption of new and/or changing technologies and toolsets.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications and systems.
- Candidate will be expected to take a key role in projects, requiring deep involvement throughout a project’s life (test plans, requirements gather, solutions architecture, task management, etc.).
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, a similar curriculum, or equivalent work experience.
- 10-12 years of experience as an Application Engineer with a strong focus on building and supporting MDM solutions particularly security master.
- In depth knowledge of financial data processes including but not limited to Security mastering, financial instruments, corporate actions, data survivorship.
- Expert level.NET or Python development required.
- Relational database development experience is required, including database design, architecture, and data modeling.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and managing team operations in fast-paced environments.
- Experience building and integrating with API’s
- Experience supporting job processing streams and scheduling environment is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Technology is a plus.
- Experience with MDM tools and platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data quality principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate autonomously.
- Experience with developing financial applications and understanding financial concepts are desired.
- Investment Management background is a strong plus.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
