Job Description
Responsibilities:
Create product demand by providing technical solutions for customers across all market verticals. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, market insight, cross-functional collaboration, and strong leadership skills to drive product success and meet customer needs effectively. Additionally, this role works closely with all departments (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to effectively articulate, build and promote our value proposition. This is both a “hands-on” and strategic role, which will suit someone with a strong technical background, extensive customer-facing experience, and a “can do” attitude.
Create technical content such as application notes and product test results and comparisons, to enhance marketing efforts. Represent Simco-Ion Industrial in Industry trade groups and at associated events. Collect and analyze information from customers to understand their business and technical needs for ionization. Develop technical proposals of how the organization’s products can meet customer needs and be integrated and implemented with the customer's existing systems and equipment. Develop and deliver technical presentations and respond to technical questions. Liaise with salespeople to ensure that products are configured, and installed according to customer needs. Respond to customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems that arise during or after product installation. Train salespeople and customers on new products and/or product features. Travel within North America, approximately 30 % of the time.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives using phone, voice mail, email, and other tools in order to fully understand customer’s application and solution requirements.
- Provide technical advice to customers and sales team to meet customer needs and assist in product selection, sizing, and configuration.
- Evaluate customer needs and develop proposals and presentations on how our product can meet those needs.
- Work with marketing to create technical PPTs, web content, white papers, articles, and application notes.
- Interact with customers to resolve technical problems regarding product installation or operation.
- Interact with the engineering group to further product troubleshooting efforts
- Travel to customer sites to evaluate customer needs and/or make technical presentation of Simco-Ion solutions.
- Provide product and application training to customers and sales representatives at the factory and/or by traveling to field locations.
- Keep current with technological and competitive developments.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction
- Represent Simco-Ion at various Industry events, including trade shows and technical organizations. .
- Regular attendance and the ability to follow all safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Open to flexible working tasks & responsibilities to meet team needs.

Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, PPT, Word.
- 2 years’ experience with specification and/or presentation of industrial instrumentation or electronic components for process improvement.
- Experience in an Engineering/Sales role is preferred.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM is preferred.
