What is Freshway? Freshway Foods is a production facility in Sideny, OH. At Freshway Foods, we offer customized retail and foodservice solutions to a customer base than spans 27 states in the eastern half of the United States.
Support day-to-day Information Technology (IT) functions and tasks at Freshway Foods & Logistics.
Onsite position out of Freshway Foods - Sidney Oh.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Design, implement and maintain technology components (hardware and software) that support critical computing within Freshway.

Administration of the server farm including several roles and activities.
-
Management of software, virtual desktop environment, creation of clients to the users.
-
Storage administration including management and maintenance of current storage appliance that houses data.
-
Management of access and security of several local site applications; backup and replication of data and restore requests.
-
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems encountered during day-to-day operations by users.
-
Install new technology to increase the company’s efficiency and effectiveness.
-
Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected.
-
Collaborate and work closely with all IT resources and users to ensure an understanding and ability to use systems and programs to the fullest.

Install, configure and troubleshoot devices on the floor including monitors, printers, and other technology.

Work on assets and capital projects including approval, finalizing, assigning asset tags, logging into system, and completion of the process.

Work with vendors in seeking and building equipment estimates and prepare return on investment analysis.

Database administrator, including access rights and maintenance practices.
-
Label application administrator, including label development.
-
Management and maintenance of network environment including switch administrator, security analyst, and cable installer.

Manage various projects at Freshway including collaboration with teams and coordination of meetings and next steps.

Assist with the analysis of projects.
-
Comply with food safety practices and all applicable requirements as they pertain to SQF and that they are maintained.

Support company driven food safety improvement initiatives.

Development of automated systems focused on efficiency and continuous improvement utilizing different languages including tSQL, Java, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Dot Net, VBasic

After initial deployment, management uptime of systems. Systems include desktop app for spec management, mobile viewer for specs, production calculator, and yard management tool.

Testing, analyzing, and debugging of solutions across environments.

Identify and execute ideas, concepts, and projects that drive automation.

Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work performed at desk and throughout facility.

Occasionally employee may need to work in an environment that is cool, wet and noisy with temperatures ranging from 34 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel.

Excellent communications, presentation skills, and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong analytical skills, an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and drive projections to completion.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience

Universal pay verbiage:
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $50,000-$80,000
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
