The Application Design Engineer will manage projects within the ERP system, communicate with project managers, prepare reports on project progress, and provide technical design and commercial proposals for industrial refrigeration solutions. Responsibilities / Tasks
Project Admin Role (30%)
- Encode and monitor projects in the ERP system; Implement new projects in system, follow up during execution, challenge the project managers whenever required
- Able to use GEA tools (e.g. AXAPTA) to enter projects in the system
- Communicate with project managers to update the project information (e.g. POC)
- Lead & facilitate monthly project review meetings and prepare minutes of the meetings
- Follow up Project Managers/Engineers to ensure that action decided during the Project review meeting are followed and executed
- Generate and submit reports to the management regarding progress of the projects, their profitability and percentage of completion
- Facilitate communication inside the team
- Act as assistant to LM
Design and Application Role (70%)
- Provide cost wise proposal for Sales group
- Prepare technical design and commercial offers
- Reviews proposal completeness and accuracy prior to endorsement to Sales Team
- Provide technical advice and consultancy support to other department
- Other task that may be assigned by the HRT Division management as need.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Specific qualification in refrigeration or heat pumps is an advantage
- Other development courses and programs are of advantage
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration with experience in designing, costing and/or selling industrial refrigeration and/or heat pump solutions
- Good understanding of industrial refrigeration applications and components.
- Working experience in an international environment is an advantage.
- Demonstrable and practical experience in developing and showing value in customer-specific solutions
