Application Analyst

Purpose Statement:  Application Analysts provide Customer Service Excellence by helping customers resolve issues in a timely manner while also driving to root cause to prevent recurrence, providing daily “care and feeding” for core applications to ensure availability and performance, providing conceptual design expertise to solutions, owning the application life cycle (patching, upgrades, security updates, etc.), and managing relationships with key third party software suppliers.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Teamwork and Collaboration: Provide customer service excellence in supporting Plexus teammates through incident support, management and resolution.

• Implementation: Help manage and successfully deliver medium to complex complexity efforts.

• Business Value: Translated and/or document business requirements and objectives into software requirements specifications.

• Testing: Collaborate with developers and technical analysts and/or perform functional testing and application management.

• Support and Service Delivery: Apply advanced knowledge to identify and resolve core problems. Perform system monitoring trend analysis, problem management and proactively recommend product improvement.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

• Two (2) years of related experience is required; three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

• Experience in computing systems or IT support is required.

• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required.

Other Qualifications:  

• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls, including documentation, testing, and remediation of control deficiencies.

• Proficiency in using SQL Developer for developing and executing SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and functions.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive medium complexity projects.

• Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical team members.

• Proficient use, general understanding or ability to learn ERP tool to provide support and drive efficiencies in the Application Analyst II role: JDEdwards, SAP, Infor, or other ERP platforms.

• Maintain the confidentiality of all departments, company and customer information while working safely at all times.

• The ability to support around the clock monitoring and management and may result in support or activities after normal business hours.

• Ensures that resolved incidents are properly documented and closed.
