About the Role
The Connectivity team is seeking an API Enablement Specialist to join the Connectivity team in Denver. As we continue to expand our Connectivity offering for clients and partners we are looking for an individual to become the subject matter expert in all our API connections. This person will work closely with the Commercial Distribution, Product and Engineering teams to ensure we are continuously adding value to our API connections while maintaining the stability of those connections.In this role, this person will be pivotal in translating the partner and client feature requests to product and engineering while having a strategic forward thinking view on the overall impact of how FareHarbor’s API connections in the industry.
What you’ll do here:
- Provide second-line support for complex API or technical connectivity issues to diagnose problems and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolutions.
- Understand and advocate for the benefits of API integrations across FareHarbor's distribution channels.
- Develop expertise in the FH dashboard interactions with various APIs to support the Connectivity, Apiary, and Strategic Partnership teams.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot API performance daily to meet SLAs with all partners including large OTAs
- Document and disseminate best practices for dashboard management to mitigate API errors and enhance efficiency.
- Create and maintain API issue resolution playbooks, educating internal stakeholders on common issues and solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Design teams to design and implement new monitoring tools and automated reports.
- Triage, investigate, and manage the resolution of incoming requests, bugs, and issues from Connectivity and Strategic Partnerships teams, including creating JIRA tickets for engineering involvement.
- Review and assess the business impact of feature requests, contributing to the discovery process and documentation.
- Coordinate and participate in functional testing for new and enhanced integrations with channel API partners.
- Facilitate communication and maintain strong relationships with OTA partners, attending necessary calls and discussions. In these discussions you will discuss feature implementation and advocate for FareHarbor suppliers and API connectivity as an industry leader.
Business Impact:
- Enhance the quality and reliability of API connectivity, improving client satisfaction and company revenue.
- Reduce inefficiencies by streamlining workflows and reducing the need for manual interventions.
- Work closely with Distribution leadership to ensure FareHarbor is at the forefront of Connectivity in the industry
Requirements:
- Experience in API management, troubleshooting, and feature development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate complex projects across multiple teams.
- Proficient in tools like JIRA, NewRelic, and common dashboard technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with different teams and translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in a client-facing role, ideally with exposure to OTA or similar environments.
- Experience working in a global environment

Salary Range: $56,320-$84,480, plus 10% bonus potential
