We are seeking a talented Android Developer to help build, design, and code TruU's mobile Android apps and SDKs.
You will drive a consistent high-quality Android product for customers. Our mobile solution handles secure actions, notifications, asynchronous transactions, and leverages various device hardware and security from biometric capabilities, Bluetooth communications, accelerometer & motion data, as well as secure enclave storage. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable Android applications. Self-motivation and a personal strive to build great things are a must for this role. As TruU is a start-up, your input and contributions in other aspects of the company will be expected and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and build applications and tools for the Google Android platform
- Define app features
- Drive quality and performance of applications
- Identify potential problems and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Fix application bugs
- Maintaining the release process for making the app available on the Goole Play Store
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience writing Android applications
- Proficient in Kotlin
- Thorough understanding of memory management and the Android application lifecycle
- Experience retrieving data from a backend service using OkHttp
- Understanding of concurrent programming and the tools available on Android
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and Material Design principles
- Proficiency of app architecture principles
- Competence in using Android Studio for both coding and debugging
- Experience with Git for version control
Nice to have
- Background in cyber-security
- Experience creating or maintaining a CI pipeline
- A positive attitude toward working with hardware and IoT
- Experience developing for iOS devices
