The Analyzer Specialist ensures the availability of Online Analytical methods. This individual keeps the Quality Control System on a high level to ensure reliable analytical results according to AN-Mobile’s standards and procedures, which includes maintenance, calibration, and ad-hoc troubleshooting.

The Analyzer Specialist is self-directed and in direct contact to the production plants, reporting to AN-MOB HSEQ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure safe and reliable operation of Online Analyzers

  • Ensuring the continual measurements by maintaining the online analyzers in a good condition and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.
  • Communicating to plant operation personnel if any malfunction or abnormality of online measurements occurred
  • Communicating to Plant Engineer, Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Coordinator, and vendor for routine/non –routine online analyzer activities. Raise work notification via SAP when required.
  • Calibration, preventive maintenance of the online analyzers according to schedule, set-up maintenance plans in SAP if required.
  • Maintain calibration and maintenance records in SAP and Plantdoc if required.
  • Adhere to the safety procedures e.g., Permit-To-Work system, Lock Out Tag Out system, etc. while working in the plant.
  • Periodically review and update the potentially hazard risks involved in the new/ existing tasks and lead the Job Safety review (JSR) to adhere the safe practices.
  • Monitoring inventory of spare parts of online analyzers and calibration gas.
  • Taking lead in assigned online analyzer activities during major plant shutdown.
  • Providing hands-on training to AN-MOB HSEQ team members
  • Contributes to maintain and administer facility quality, safety, and environmental programs/processes, including non-conformance action items and MOC processes.
  • Any other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Ensure that quality requirements are always met.

  • Writing and update online operations procedures.
  • Ensuring online analyzer calibration and preventive maintenance performed in a timely manner.
  • Upkeep records and maintain the quality and regulatory system involving online analyzers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience with online analyzer systems or equivalent lab experience
  • Attention to details with accurate data recording skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player

List of machines, tools, equipment, and others used in the performance of the duties.

  • Online Analyzer equipment such as TDLAS, Infra-red Analyzer, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Spectrometric and Photometric NIR, Sound Velocity Analyzer, Gas Chromatography, UV/Fluorescence Analyzer, TCD Analyzer, Fourier Transform IR Analyzer, NDIR Analyzer, Refractive Index Analyzer, CEMS

Unique working conditions:

  • Lab environment handling hazardous and toxic material.
  • Field work in chemical plant environment, processing highly hazardous materials.
  • Take on a regular and schedule base on-call duties for online analyzers during off-office hours.
