The Tournament Finance & Analytics department is responsible for the collection, processing and strategic analysis of all PGA TOUR tournament specific financial results, revenue/CRM data, local recipient-level data for all charitable donations made by the PGA TOUR and its tournaments. This role will work directly with the PGA TOUR Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) team, as well as the PGA TOUR Events department to support tournament leadership, revenue, ticketing and operations teams to deliver insights and analysis that drive financial performance, enhance product efficiency, and support strategic decision-making for the PGA TOUR and its tournaments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and relevant 3 year experience in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Confidence in presenting findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders
- Curiosity to explore data and identify meaningful patterns and insights
- Experience working in a project-based environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort with data manipulation tools
- Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and analytical thinking
- Ability to take direction and produce expected deliverables quickly and accurately
- Excellent quantitative, communication, follow through, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work nonstandard hours, including nights and weekends upon request
Preferred:
- MBA/CPA
- Previous experience with SQL, Tableau and/or Alteryx Designer (or similar applications)
- FP&A Experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience
- Experience with CRM systems and revenue analysis
- Golf knowledge/background
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Collect and process financial results, revenue data, CRM information, charitable recipients, and basic statistics for reporting tournaments
- Ensure Accuracy in all data collection and processing, as well as propose solutions
- Review disclosures and provide insights for assigned events
- Collaborate with operations teams to analyze product efficiency
- Maintain standardized reporting as agreed upon with end users
- Contribute to reporting efficiencies by leveraging available applications
- Provide insights from data analysis to support decision-making
- Demonstrate leadership through initiative and ownership of assigned projects
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
