ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Analyst / Senior Analyst, Transversal Risk, you’ll:

  • Select proxies for new investment and their regular review

  • Identify risk factors to which the company’s investments are exposed

  • Draft analysis and monitoring reports for ad hoc requests received by the team

  • Support analysts from the Transversal Risk group in the preparation and analysis of various reports

  • Work with team members to design and publish data visualization solutions (reports, dashboards, etc.), mainly with Power BI

  • Manage and optimize the group’s databases

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize existing databases

  • Where applicable, ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and policies

  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy

  • Effective communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken

  • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research

  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation

  • Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients

  • Eagerness to learn, ideate and innovate

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in finance and/or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent

  • One (1) to four (4) years or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in finance, depending on the job level. Exposure to risk management and/or fundamental analysis of companies, an asset

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) and good knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Matlab)

  • Knowledge of business intelligence environments (data access, Microsoft BI Suite, Power BI), an asset

  • Demonstrated PowerPoint presentation creation and English writing skills

  • Designation of CFA, CPA, FRM or PRM or enrolment in one of these programs, or a related professional designation, an asset

  • Knowledge of financial markets and derivatives, an asset

  • Proactivity, creativity, innovation and open-mindedness

  • Abstract-thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
