Analyst Jr Finance

Overview of Position:
The Latin America region is seeking a Jr. Financial Analyst. This role will report to the Americas Treasury Manager and will be responsible for processing payments across the region, collections for Brazil and supporting Treasury Manager and team on cash flow preparation.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Assist and oversee the invoicing and payment process for various accounts.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation an approval prior to payment
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Process check requests
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Perform month end reconciliation for Payable related accounts.
- Perform account research and analysis to resolve issues identified in reconciliations.
- Assists with ad-hoc tasks as necessary per direction of the Finance Manager.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required
- Prepare cash flow forecast and control discipline to support treasury operations and decisions
- Other Ad Hoc projects as they arise.
Collections (Brazil)
- Maintain an up-to-date Accounts Receivable system and monitor customer account details
- Follow-up on, collect and allocate payments
- Perform Daily Cash Application and ensure reconciliation of the batch.
- Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Process new customer setups
- Review AR aging to ensure compliance and identify potential collection issues
- Generate age analysis
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Reconcile A/R to the G/L
- Monitor customer account for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Assist with the overall collections efforts
- Works with customers to resolve past due accounts and answer billing inquiries
- Assist with enforcement of internal control procedures and policies
- Assist with monthly/quarterly close processes
- Perform additional financial analyses and projects as necessary
What we need from you:
- Minimum 2 years experience supporting a Accounts Payable function
- Advanced level speaking and writing both English and Spanish language
- Graduated in Business Management or Accounting
- Advanced level in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people within the organization, external suppliers and customers.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive thinker and problem solver
- Ability to use initiative and work both autonomously as well as in a team with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a dynamic environment
- Ability to identity priorities and critical situations that requires immediate action
Even better if you have:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Protheus
