Job Description:
. Essential Job Functions:
• Participate in software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of more experienced team members.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
• Contribute to the documentation of software requirements and specifications.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance from senior team members.
• Support the implementation of emerging technologies and best practices.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Actively learn from and assist more experienced team members.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Relevant experience, typically 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies, including:
1. Java, older versions, and modern versions,
2. JavaScript
3. Java Server Faces (JSF)
4. Java Server Pages (JSP)
5. VB6 and http://VB.NET
6. IBM NET.DATA
7. SQL including PL/SQL
8. UNIX/AIX command line and scripting
9. Perl scripting
• Proficiency in 1 or more technologies, including:
1. IBM WebSphere, older versions especially
2. Oracle WebLogic and ADF development
3. Oracle databases, older versions and modern versions
4. Oracle Data Integrator
5. Oracle DRDA (database technology integrator)
6. Oracle Forms 6
7. iSeries AS400
8. DB2 for i database
9. DB2ii (database technology integrator)
• Basic understanding of coding and debugging
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
• Candidate will work a hybrid arrangement to accommodate client needs
Work Environment: This role will require onsite at the client location a few days a week.
