The Position
Provide analytical support required for Incentive Compensation programs, including IC plan Communication, documentation, and Sales communication support. Direct and perform supporting projects and analyses, as required. Ensure maintenance of applicable tools and systems used for data management and analysis. Assists in creating, refining and updating quantitative tracking models and systems, along with documented supporting assumptions. Develop communications materials including slides and reports reflecting clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for key stakeholders. Proactively support Field Strategy and Insights, Sales Leadership, and other stakeholders in developing insights to support incentive compensation plans and ad-hoc analysis associated with the plans and contests supported by incentive compensation.
Relationships
Reports to Director - Field Force Incentives and Communications. Internal relationships include close interactions with home office functions including, but not limited to, Finance & Operations, Marketing, Enterprise Insight and Strategy, Trade, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and Compliance. External relationships include interactions with external data partners, consultants, and market research partners.
Essential Functions

  • Analytics & Insight Generation
    • Proactively monitors areas of concern or opportunity for enhancements and provides recommendations/ proposals, supports relevant analysis as needed
    • Development and execution of presentations with clear storylines, grounded on holistic business concepts and communicate key conclusions and business recommendations/implications (what/so what and now what) to business partners and peers
    • Analytical thinker and creative problem solver, ability to influence others with verbal and written communication
    • Crafts clear narrative, uses it to develop own perspective and recommendations, even if others may disagree, and takes a stand
    • Ensure scorecards for the team are created, quality checked and distributed
    • Evaluate new sources of data and software capabilities that will enhance ability to analyze and manage data
    • Manage and/or owns special analytical projects with significant business impact (e.g., enhancements, training and communication, reporting automation)
    • Collaborate with stakeholders providing necessary data and analysis
    • Perform sophisticated ad hoc analyses in regard to IC plans; translate sales data into presentation format to support senior management in identifying trends and opportunities in the business
    • Recommend and develop various departmental systems and procedures, tools, templates
    • Support in-sourcing initiatives within Incentive Compensation
  • Process & Data Innovation
    • Supports the development of innovative solutions to unstructured, complex problems
    • Leverages internal data systems and tools to efficiently maintain data and reporting processes to minimize manual data updates and streamline the build and accessibility of key deliverables
    • Proactively streamlines and documents processes supporting the generation of business insights and tracking reports


Physical Requirements
10-20% overnight travel required.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor 's degree required with focus in Business, Math, Science, or Engineering preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills required
  • MS Access or another database platform required
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • 1-year relevant experience in marketing, market research, forecasting, sales analysis, finance, pricing, or other related areas or experience/working knowledge within several areas such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, SAS, or R preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of HCP DATA/IQVIA data and/or other secondary industry sources preferred
  • Creative problem solving; ability to organize/manipulate data and see big picture from scattered pieces of information
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
  • Positive and eagerness to learn, collaborate and partner with internal business colleagues
