The Analyst, Finance and Accounting is responsible for providing technical accounting guidance, assessing the impact of new accounting standards, and implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures. Assist in the design and maintain a managerial accounting structure. Design visualizations for dimension structures that provide insights for business performance (KPIs). This position works hybrid, based in San Juan, PR.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive research on complex accounting issues, including new accounting standards, emerging trends, and industry-specific regulations.
- Analyze and interpret accounting guidance.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the organization's financial reporting.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on technical accounting matters to finance teams, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues and address potential risks. Assist in the design and maintain a managerial accounting structure based on management determined dimensionalities, investigate operational pipelines and changes required to standardize and improve quality of managerial accounting data.
- Collaborate in updating managerial accounting structures, variance monitoring in managerial accounting structures, design visualizations for dimension structures with dashboards that provide insights for business performance (KPIs).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Three (3) years of related general accounting experience is required. Experience in accounting process improvement and/or change management preferred.
- Proficiency in researching and interpreting accounting guidance from various authoritative sources.
- Candidates must be highly analytical, proactive problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask observing the defined quality standards.
- Demonstrated assertiveness in oral and written communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fully bilingual - English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other business applications required. Knowledge in Workday and PowerBi is highly desirable.
WORK AUTHORIZATION & ELEGIBILITY:
- Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
