One of the three primary drivers of revenue for RenaissanceRe, Capital Partners is an industry-leading manager of insurance-linked securities (ILS) capital, serving the needs of large institutional investors through superior risk selection and portfolio construction. For the past twenty-five years, our unique hybrid model of owned and managed capital has provided broad access to risk, specialized reinsurance underwriting, and strong governance, ensuring our interests are aligned with those of our investors. The Capital Partners team, approximately 20-25 professionals supported by a robust team of functional partners, constructs private ILS transactions for global institutional investors via third-party capital vehicles, joint ventures, and catastrophe bond trading. About the Position
The Analyst – Capital Partners is responsible for supporting the Capital Partners team by assisting with all aspects of Capital Partners support including investor relations, due diligence, market research, ESG reporting and general operations of all joint ventures, funds and managed vehicles.
This role reports to the SVP, Capital Partners and is based in our Bermuda office.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare investor analysis, peer analysis and general research to support the Capital Partners group

Assist in the research of potential new products and new structures
-
Assist in the preparation of Capital Partners Investment and Operational Due Diligence responses, consisting of ad hoc, quarterly and annual investor questionnaires

Assist in the completion of Capital Partners ESG questionnaires and assist with the Capital Partners ESG strategy development and ongoing updates, if any

Support all incoming investor queries and ad hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual investor reports / letters for Capital Partners

Conduct research and report on market conditions (peers, trends, latest news)

Assist with the preparation of marketing materials / quarterly investor letters

Coordinate with legal, accounting, and risk management related to our Capital Partners joint ventures, funds and managed vehicles, including co-ordination of data collection for investor reporting
Candidate Qualifications:
-
A university degree required with an emphasis on accounting, science, engineering, economics, math, statistical techniques, or simulation preferred

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role at a re/insurance firm, reinsurance broker or a catastrophe modeling firm preferable

Strong knowledge of reinsurance and the ILS market

Superior quantitative, written, and verbal communication and negotiation skills

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

Assist in the research of potential new products and new structures
