Position: Inventory Accounting Analyst
As an Inventory Reconciliation Analyst, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through detailed accounting and enhanced data analytics. Your mission will be to ensure that our inventory records are precise, reliable, and reflective of our physical stock, thereby directly contributing to our operational efficiency and financial performance. By conducting thorough analyses, reconciliations, and employing advanced analytical techniques, you'll uncover insights that lead to improved inventory management practices. You'll work closely with both the finance and operations teams to address discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and prevent future variances. This position demands a blend of accounting knowledge and data analytics proficiency, offering a unique opportunity to impact our inventory processes and reporting significantly.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Qualification - CA/CPA/CMA/CIMA
- Has 1-3 years of experience in inventory accounting, finance, or a similar role, preferably within a retail or distribution environment, and over 5 years of total work experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), especially as they relate to inventory.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Experience with SQL, R, or Python for data analysis.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving, with high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues, suggesting solutions, and implementing improvements.
