Job Summary

Responsible for providing business performance analysis, reporting and forecasting. Work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and provide innovative insights using data, collaborating with teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and revenue enhancement.
Responsible for retrieving, analyzing and summarizing transactional data to identify operational efficiencies, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and support data-driven strategic business decisions. Provides financial analysis and projections to all levels within the organization in support of functional business objectives. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Executes the extraction, manipulation, visualization and analysis of large, complex data to determine actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools.
  • Communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to stakeholders, from a finance perspective.
  • Provides budget, forecast and variance analysis and related reports as needed.
  • Conducts financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives and determines emerging financial trends.
  • Creates and maintains statistical/financial databases and reports. Runs appropriate weekly, monthly and annual reports.
  • Provide analytical and statistical support on ad hoc analysis and reporting and identifying/implementing automation opportunities to identify outliers, trends, and/or projections, where appropriate
  • Works with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements
  • Combines data as needed from disparate data sources to complete analysis
  • Reviews analyses of the results of strategic initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifies key business drivers and insights by conducting exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with advanced analytical tools (like PowerBI) a plus
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
