Your Team, Your Impact
Central Engineering - Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro and datacenter. We address the bandwidth, capacity and power issues faced by cloud computing, mega data centers that powers the social media giant platforms. Our innovative approaches have resulted in the company’s products being first to market in many of key areas, developing the most advanced chips and subsystems solutions to address the ever-increasing demand of higher data rates driven by video-on demand, gaming and other real time data streams.
What You Can Expect
- Analyze block specifications and identify suitable design topologies.
- Design analog blocks at the transistor level for multi-GHz applications.
- Supervise layout activities, provide design guidelines, and perform post-layout verifications.
- Model analog blocks and validate their performance in simulation environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and optimize existing solutions.
- Take ownership of designing entire analog macros or IPs.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure seamless integration across teams.
- Train and mentor junior designers to build and strengthen the team's capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related fields with 10+ years of work experience, OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 7+ years of work experience
- Proven expertise in designing ICs from architecture definition to lab characterization. Solid experience in analog design, preferably in the multi-GHz range, performing or supervising custom analog layouts, and using EDA CAD tools for simulation and validation.
- Measuring and debugging IC performance to align simulations with real-world results.
- Experience in multi-Gbps electrical SerDes or electro-optical transceivers.
- Familiarity with advanced CMOS nodes, including FinFET technologies.
