AltaGas - Team Lead, Business Solutions
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Team Lead, Business Solutions with a strong focus on project management to drive our business and asset management strategies. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals, oversee the implementation of various business solutions, and ensure the efficient and effective operation of our systems and initiatives. This role is based in the Calgary office and reports to the Business and Project Services Team.
You will:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Business Solutions team.
- Oversee the management and optimization of business solutions, including the Maximo EAM system, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of new solutions and enhancements using a hybrid methodology approach.
- Manage the scheduling and execution of monthly releases and coordinate system updates with the Digital department.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments, including engineering, operations, and finance.
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain high standards of data quality management, analysis, and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in business solutions and the oil and gas sector.
You have:
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or a related field required
- Extensive experience in project management and business solutions, with a proven track record of leadership in the oil and gas industry. required
- Strong project management skills and experience with methodologies such as waterfall and agile. required
- Experience with asset management software and platforms (preferably Maximo EAM). preferred
- PMP Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance and reliability engineering principles.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving strategic goals.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
